INDICATIONS
SIMPARICA TRIO rapidly kills fleas within 4 to 8 hours after treatment and is indicated for the treatment, control and prevention of flea (Ctenocephalides spp.) infestations. SIMPARICA TRIO breaks the flea life cycle by killing adult fleas before they can lay eggs, therefore eliminating the risk of further environmental infestation. The product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD).
SIMPARICA TRIO treats and controls paralysis ticks (Ixodes holocyclus) and brown dog ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus). Rapidly kills pre-existing paralysis tick infestations within 24 hours of treatment. In tick season, daily searching for and removal of any ticks found is recommended. Ixodes holocyclus ticks do not occur in Western Australia. SIMPARICA TRIO prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis with monthly administration.
SIMPARICA TRIO treats and controls hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala) and roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina) including immature stages of A. caninum (L4, L5) and T. canis (L5). Consult a veterinarian if worm problems persist.
The product has persistent flea and tick killing activity for 5 weeks (35 days).
SIMPARICA TRIO contains sarolaner (an isoxazoline), moxidectin (a macrocyclic lactone) and pyrantel embonate la tetrahydropyrimidine).
Not recommended for use on puppies under 8 weeks old or weighing less than 1.25 kg. Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substances.
